Offshore Technology Conference :OTC will be held at the NRG Center in Houston, USA, from May 1 to 4, 2023. It is one of the most influential oil, petrochemical and natural gas exhibitions in the world. Founded in 1969, with the strong support of 12 professional industry organizations such as the American Petroleum Association, its scale and influence have expanded year by year. It is a grand event in the world that OTC has developed into a stable and valued event in terms of oil drilling, development, production, environmental protection and other resources development.
Exhibitors in China
There are about 300 Chinese exhibitors in the form of groups, standard stands and individual special clothing. Exhibitors from Shandong, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Tianjin and Shanghai are relatively concentrated. Many exhibitors are concentrated in one exhibition hall, CHINA PAVILION, and some exhibitors are also displayed in ARENA exhibition hall, with a relatively concentrated area. Sinopec and CNOOC, two large Chinese-funded enterprises, have special decoration in the main exhibition hall, and compete with other major international enterprises such as Siemens, GE, Germany, France, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and other international exhibition groups.
The products on display in China at the exhibition are mainly small auxiliary equipment and chemical agents developed by petroleum, involving pipes, hoses, chemical agents and a few detection equipment. Due to the particularity of the oil exploitation industry, most buyers have very high requirements for the quality of products for underground operations. In case of quality accidents, the losses cannot be compensated. Some Chinese suppliers said that it is not so easy to enter the buyer system. Therefore, if Chinese products can obtain American standard API, there are foreign agents. The probability of winning the favor and recognition of buyers will be greatly increased.
